A 13-year-old migrant worker today died in an accident on the Nakodar road here. The deceased was identified as Ajay Kumar, a resident of Tilak Nagar.
As per his family, Ajay had recently came from his village in Uttar Pradesh in search of work and it was his first day on job in a furniture shop situated on Nakodar Chowk. While returning from work, his cycle was hit by a speeding truck, leaving him dead on the spot.
The police have arrested the driver of the truck, Gurbat Singh. A case has been registered. — TNS
