1,500 to pay obeisance at Nankana Sahib

Members of the Sikh Sewa Society International today said: “, We shall organise a ‘Nagar Kirtan’ from Bangla Sahib Gurudwara in Delhi to Nankana Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.”

Parminder Pal Singh Khalsa, the president of the society said: “As many as 1,500 devotees were expected to pay obeisance at the Nankana Sahib Gurdwara and other gurudwaras in Pakistan. The authorities concerned have isuued visa to 1,500 people in this regard.”

Parminder Pal said: “A group of devotees shall begin their journey on October 28 at 9 am from Delhi and cover several gurdwaras and “Guru-sthals” in Ludhina, Sultanpur Lodhi, Jalandhar and other cities.”

“The devotees shall leave for Nankana Sahib on October 30 from Amritsar and spend six days in Pakinstan. The nagar kirtan shall conclude on November 9,” he added.

Paramjit Singh Sarna, Shiromani Akali Dal, Delhi chief and ex-president, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), requested all oraganisations should participate in the “Nagar Kirtan.” — TNS
