‘Clear stand on Badal statement’

Vice-president and spokesperson of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Himanshu Pathak on Thursday wrote to the PM, and BJP president Amit Shah, seeking from them to clear their stand on a statement made by SAD president Sukhbir Badal at a recent rally in Jalandhar rally.

Pathak stated that on March 18, the BJP had organised a state rally in Jalandhar in which your whole state leadership National Vice-President, Minister of State at Centre and state president Vijay Sampla etc were present.

“In his address, (Sukhbir Badal) said ‘Hindustan Rahe Na Rahe asi BJP de nall’, I want clarification that your party and and your alliance partner is bigger than country. You people at BJP deem to be the biggest nationalist party and nationalist guardian of the country. Your government at the Centre booked many on sedition charges there were so many examples from Kanhiya Kumar to many student leaders media persons etc.” tns
