Jammu, February 14

There has been no let-up in anger among college students in Jammu. On Thursday, students of government degree colleges continued to boycott their classes for the third consecutive day to protest the registration of an FIR against students and action against those who had raised pro-Pakistan slogans on February 11. They were also demanding withdrawal of the FIR against students.

A large number of students of Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar, staged a protest, demanding action against the stranded passengers who had raised pro-Pakistan slogans near GGM Science College on Monday.

The students, led by Sonali Vaid, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad leader, boycotted their classes and marched towards GGM Science College at Canal Road.

After a protest near GGM Science College, the students marched towards GCW, Parade. The student protest disrupted traffic on city roads.

The protesting students were demanding identification of those who had raised pro-Pakistan slogans and apology from the policemen who had allegedly lathicharged students during the protest.
