Staff mourn death of Rajouri varsity VC’s mother

The faculty, staff and students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) have condoled the death of the mother of Prof Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor of the university.

Prominent people from various walks of life and intelligentsia of Rajouri town have also condoled the death.

They prayed for peace to the departed soul and expressed their sympathies with the bereaved family.

A condolence meeting was held on the university campus on Monday, in which university Registar Prof Iqbal Parwez read the condolence message.

“We are deeply saddened to learn about the death of the mother of Prof Javed Musarrat, VC. It is a moment of grief and loss for the entire BGSBU fraternity. Most of us never met his mother, but we learnt that she was a pillar of strength for the family and a kind and compassionate human being,” said the Registrar.

The condolence meeting ended with a prayer to the Almighty to grant her the highest place in heaven.
