Sonia is Miss J&K, Manohar Mr J&K

JAMMU: Sonia Bhagat clinched the Miss J&K crown while Manohar Khajuria lifted the Mr J&K trophy in the recently concluded Miss and Mr J&K event, organised by Sheetal Rakwal and supported by SKKRDA Events India and Manjeet Singh, Sonu Taneza and Arif. The event had four rounds in both categories, including Halloween, western, traditional and question and answers rounds. The jury included Punjabi singer Meet Kaur, Mrs India 2016 Meenu Mahajan and Pallavi. Talking to The Tribune, Sonia Bhagat said for the first time, Halloween round was included in such an event. Manohar Khajuria said the competition was great fun as new adventurous events unfolded, giving competitors a tough time. TNS

Song ‘Tera Chehra’ released

Jammu: MS Productions on Monday released a song titled ‘Tera Chehra’, directed by Mohit Sharma and Vikrant Mehta. The love couplet features Mohit Sharma and Neha Lahotra and has been shot at different locations in Jammu. The screenplay and concept of the song was designed by Mohit, while singer Shubham Dogra rendered the background voice. The post production and cinematography was done by Trinetra Productions while music was given by Mahir Sharma. TNS

Soldier ends life

Jammu: A soldier allegedly shot himself with his service rifle in Meera Sahab area of Jammu on Monday. Police said the incident took place around 1 am. The soldier, Ashok Kumar of 4 Madaras, was posted at 18 Madras, Meera Sahab. Kumar belonged to Andra Pradesh and had joined the Army in December 2017. OC
