School kids raise awareness on drug abuse

Students of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School today took out an anti-drug rally to create awareness about hazards of drugs among the masses.

The rally was flagged off by the Speaker of Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, who was the chief guest on the occasion. Other prominent present on the occasion included Harinder Gupta, state general secretary; Baldev Sing Ballowaria, BJP district president; and Vinay Gupta, BJP district general secretary.

Students from Classes VII to X participated in the rally which flagged off from the school premises in Jeevan Nagar and after passing through the Satwari area culminated at the school.

In his address, Kavinder Gupta hailed the initiative of the school management and encouraged their efforts, saying it would help in disseminating the information with regard to health hazards of drug abuse.
