Rakesh Sehgal is director of NIT-Srinagar

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, has got a new Director, Rakesh Sehgal, from NIT, Hamirpur.

The Government of India appointed new directors to 11 NITs on Tuesday.

Located in Hazratbal, Srinagar, in the vicinity of the University of Kashmir, National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, witnessed clashes between students from the Valley and those from outside the state last year following India’s semi-final loss to West Indies in a T-20 match.
