Poonch, Rajouri get chopper services

Helicopter services linking Rajouri and Poonch districts to Jammu started today with the state hoping that the move would boost tourism and economy. The government is also pursuing the proposal for the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch railway with the Centre to strengthen the connectivity to the twin districts, J&K Civil Supplies Minister Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said. While he flagged off the chopper at Rajouri, Rural Development Minister Abdul Haq flagged off the Jammu-Poonch helicopter service at Poonch. — TNS
