Leaving her home in the serene environs of Pahalgam, Dr Ridwana Sanam has made her name in the field of physiotherapy. From the common man to sports stars, Sanam has given physiotherapy treatment to thousands of patients in the country at the KRV Healthcare and Physiotherapy hospitals.

Sanam is the founder of the KRV Healthcare and Physiotherapy group of hospitals in India, which was established in 2011. “I have been providing pain management therapies to people across the country. From sports to film stars to common people, everyone has sought my healthcare services,” she claims.

Sanam said her hospitals have always been a forerunner in terms of latest trends of treatment in India be it related to orthopedic, neurological, pediatrics, obesity, cardiopulmonary or sports.

“We have been receiving hundreds of patients from Kashmir every year. In the past two days, we have treated 56 patients from Kashmir at Gurugram centre free of cost. Another 100 are lined up. I have held several camps in Kashmir to provide treatment to patients at their doorstep,” she said.

The KRV hospital organised a physiotherapy consultation camp at its centres across India today on the World Physical Therapy Day to spread awareness about the advanced techniques in physiotherapy.

By organising complimentary consultation camps across all centres, Sanam said she was trying to make people aware of the benefits of physiotherapy.

She says physiotherapy was the key to pain management and rehabilitation and if done properly, the chances of pain re-occurrence could be very low.
