Only hand pump in Rajouri village needs repair

Hand pump is the only immediate source of drinking water at Kangri village in Beri Pattan tehsil of the district.

People of the village are facing difficulties in getting safe drinking water as the hand pump has been out of service for the last more than a fortnight.

As the village reportedly has no water supply scheme of the PHE Department, the people in the past used to collect drinking water from distant water sources and were now dependent on the hand pump installed by the Groundwater Department. — OC
