Jammu, September 16

Terming abrogation of Art 370, a historic step towards bringing the state out of the shackles of 70- year-old slavery, Kashmiri pandits have said the time was ripe to realise the geo-political and fundamental aspirations of the Kashmiri Pandits.

Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP state spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs, in this regard today appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to constitute Kashmir Hindu temples and shrine boards.

Return and resettlement of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community is a matter of concern. Prelude to that, it is paramount to organise the Hindu temples and shrines of Kashmir for which there is a need for the establishment of a board through a Bill or an Ordinance,” said Ashwani Chrungoo in a statement issued.
