Jammu, August 25

Unlike other heads of educational institutions, who mostly prefer to issue instructions to lecturers, masters or teachers, Swarn Singh, Principal, Government Shri Ranbir Higher Secondary School, is leading from the front by delivering lectures in classes.

In one of the state-run schools in J&K, the students of Shri Ranbir Higher Secondary School at Parade in Jammu clinch top positions every year in different streams in Class X and Class XII annual board exams.

The principal is setting an example for his colleagues in the school by delivering lectures in different classes.

“Ever since I joined this school, I often take classes of the students at different levels, whenever, their concerned lecturer or master is not available.

I feel wonderful interacting with the students who have the zeal to learn”, Swarn Singh said.

“While delivering lecturers, I come across the problems being faced by them.

Instead of getting feedback from the teachers it is always better to find out the problem on your own”, the Principal said.

The students were happy attending his class. “It is altogether a new experience for us when the Principal takes our class. In fact, we feel proud sharing about our experience with our parents and friends”, Amit, a student of the school said.

“Every teacher does his best in the school, but when the principal takes a class it makes the lecture even more special”, he maintained.
