Land grabber put on sustained questioning

Evading the calls of Investigation Officer (IO), Crime Branch, Jammu, has led to the ordering of sustained questing of a history-sheeter land grabber in Jammu on Friday.

Ravinder Kumar, alias Ravinder Gupta, alias Gola Shah, was booked by the Crime Branch, Jammu, in a case (FIR No 19/2011) under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the RPC. He was summoned several times to cooperate in the investigation of the case.

Gola Shah kept on evading the calls of the Investigating Officer. Meanwhile, Gola Shah approached the court and got bail order from the 2nd Additional Judge. Despite the court order, the accused did not bother to come to the Investigating Officer for completing the bail formalities as well as in cooperating in the investigation of the case.

On August 22, the Investigating Officer submitted a report of the case sought by the court along with past conduct of the accused, who is a notorious land grabber, having 20 cases registered against him. He is a history-sheeter in the Gangyal police station.

On August 23, Gola Shah was put on sustained questioning for conducting the investigation.
