JAMMU: A 42-year-old suspended policeman was injured after being shot at by unknown gunmen in the Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu on Wednesday.

A 42-year-old suspended policeman was injured after being shot at by unknown gunmen in the Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu on Wednesday.

Kanwar Yogesh of Gorkha Nagar, Jammu, was shot at by when he was taking his morning walk in the green-belt area of Gandhi Nagar, reports said. “We are not aware whether he had animosity with anyone because he has never disclosed anything like this to us, but he did mention that the shooter was on a two-wheeler,” Uma, one of his relatives, said. The victim has been admitted to the hospital and his condition is stated to be out of danger till the last report was filed.

The police have registered a case and started an investigation. — TNS
