Jammu, August 12

Reacting acerbically to the revocation of state’s special status, all India IAS topper-turned-politician Shah Faesal has said that there would “no Eid till the last bit of insult is avenged and undone”.

“There is no Eid. Kashmiris across the world are mourning the illegal annexation of their land. There shall be no Eid till everything that has been stolen and snatched since 1947 is returned. No Eid till the last bit of insult is avenged and undone,” said Faesal, who floated a political party — Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Movement — in March this year. On August 6, he had described the curfew-like restrictions as “unprecedented horror in Kashmir”.

“Unprecedented horror in Kashmir. Everyone is heartbroken. A sense of defeat written on every face. From citizens to subjects. History has taken a catastrophic turn for all of us,” he had tweeted.
