Srinagar, July 16
Dineshwar Sharma, Union Special Representative for Dialogue in J&K, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhawan here on Tuesday.
An official statement said Sharma apprised the Governor about his consultations with a cross section of society and emphasised the need to take into account the aspirations of the youth and students across the state.
In another meeting, Farooq Khan, new Adviser to Governor, discussed with Malik issues relating to the developmental scenario and security situation in the state.
Meanwhile, Navin Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, briefed Malik on initiatives taken for industrial promotion, enhancing entrepreneurial environment and advancing the growth of cottage and village industries and handicrafts and handloom sector in the state. He also briefed Malik on the overall status of tourism infrastructure in the state, tourist arrivals and promotion activities. —TNS
