Tribunal to hold sittings in Leh over Jamaat ban

The Unlawful Activities Prevention Tribunal, headed by a Delhi High Court judge, is all set to begin its sittings in Leh for two days from July 20 to look into the evidence supporting the declaration of Jamaat-e-Islami, J&K, as an unlawful association.

The Unlawful Activities Prevention Tribunal, headed by a Delhi High Court judge, is all set to begin its sittings in Leh for two days from July 20 to look into the evidence supporting the declaration of Jamaat-e-Islami, J&K, as an unlawful association. A notification said the Tribunal will hold sittings in Leh (Ladakh) from July 20 at the District Court Complex, Skampari, near the DC office from 10.30 am onwards. Those interested in giving evidence might file their affidavit with the Registrar, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal. —TNS
