A meditation hall at Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Leh, considered to be first-of-its-kind in the Himalayan region, will be thrown open for public on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21.

The newly build structure is in the shape of a pyramid and has been named Shangrila Pyramid Meditation Hall. It has been conceived by the Pyramid Societies Social Movement, in collaboration with Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC), Leh, to promote wellness, peace, harmony and non violence. At a press conference held here on Wednesday , MIMC president Bhikku Sanghasena said the new mediation hall is yet an another milestone in promoting wellness in the region as well as for the tourists, who visit the region in large numbers for meditation and yoga. — OC
