A ‘gurmat samagam’ is being organised by Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust and Guru Nanak International Kirtan Council, under the patronage of Mahant Manjit Singh of Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch, on May 25. The District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) has also extended support to commemorate 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev at Gurdwara Shri Guru Nanak Dev, Chand Nagar. The samagam is being held to highlight the path shown by Guru Nanak for world peace and service to humanity. Tarlochan Singh Wazir, chairman, State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board; Jagtar Singh, mukh sewadar, Guru Nanak Kirtan Council; Manjit Singh, convener, Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust; Davinder Singh, president, Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust; and other prominent community leaders discussed the arrangements for the event.
