Jammu, April 23

All IAS officers in the state have been directed to file their immovable property returns (IPRs) electronically.

According to an official circular issued by the general administrative department (GAD) on Tuesday, Farooq Ahmad Lone, Secretary to the government, said some IAS officers of the state cadre had not submitted their IPRs for the year 2018 electronically, but had instead filed hard copies with the department.

In terms of the rules, the IAS officers have to necessarily file the IPRs electronically as there is no provision for manual submission. The order said these instructions should be observed in letter and spirit. — TNS
