CRPF sends football players on tour

SRINAGAR: In all, 38 players of the winners and runners-up teams of the CRPF Football Cup left for the last leg of the ‘Bharat darshan’ tour here today.

In all, 38 players of the winners and runners-up teams of the CRPF Football Cup left for the last leg of the ‘Bharat darshan’ tour here today.

TJ Jacob, DIG CRPF, Srinagar sector, along with Shailendra, DIG, CRPF, north Srinagar, flagged off the the teams at the local airport. Members of Jahangir Football Club and Radpora Football Club were the winners and runners-up of Srinagar district, respectively. The boys will visit different cities of the country, including Delhi, Jaipur, Ajmer and Agra.

A spokesman of the CRPF said the tour was part of the prize package for the teams. Earlier, in the first and the second leg, similar tours were organised for the teams from Budgam and Ganderbal. — TNS
