New MC chief reviews infra projects

Srinagar, August 13

The new Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Commissioner, Peerzada Hafizullah, on Monday held an introductory meeting with the staff of the corporation.

Officials said besides reviewing various works and the related functioning, the new commissioner discussed the core issues of the corporation which included building activities, street lighting, sanitation and other allied functions.

“He passed on directions that various steps need to be taken for further improvement of solid waste management, drainage and sewerage besides beautification of Srinagar city,” the officials present in the meeting said. —TNS
