JAMMU: The Nami Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, organised a special function in Katra town to felicitate Dr Samia Mohan and conferred upon her the International Women’s Day Award-2019.

The Nami Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, organised a special function in Katra town to felicitate Dr Samia Mohan and conferred upon her the International Women’s Day Award-2019.

Recalling her achievements, the speakers said she was the head girl of Sacred Heart School, Dalhousie, and then Miss DPS, Jammu. She did her MBBS from the University of Jammu with a gold medal in surgery. She did her post graduation in surgery from Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.

Shiv Kumar Sharma, president, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and an eminent social worker, presided over the function. He said Mohan was a meritorious, promising and upcoming surgeon belonging to Katra. He admired her dedication, commitment and professionalism to serve patients. — TNS
