Jammu students attend National Youth Summit

JAMMU: Two students of Mother India Senior Secondary School, RS Pura, participated in a three-day National Youth Summit-2019 organised by Special Olympics Bharat at Amity University, Noida (Uttar Pradesh), from May 28 to 30.

Two students of Mother India Senior Secondary School, RS Pura, participated in a three-day National Youth Summit-2019 organised by Special Olympics Bharat at Amity University, Noida (Uttar Pradesh), from May 28 to 30.

Akriti Sharma represented the school as coordinator and Rabjot Singh as youth leader in the summit which was organised to address the need and importance of creating an inclusive society for all.

Over 250 youth drawn from 22 states attended the summit that was led by a resource team comprising leaders from the Special Olympics International, Special Olympics Asia Pacific, Amity University and Special Olympics Bharat.

Of the 250 students, 15, including Rabjot Singh, were selected as members, National Youth Council 2019.  In the category of Unified Champion Schools, Mother India Senior Secondary School won the distinction award on the basis of skills of coordination. — TNS
