Srinagar, July 31

Former militant turned Congress MLA Usman Majeed claimed on Friday that he met gangster Tiger Memon, a key suspect in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on several occasions.

He also claimed the Paksitan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had planned the attack, which Memon executed.

“I had met Tiger (Memon) in PoK few times... .Entire Mumbai blasts were planned by ISI. It was all ISI's plan and conspiracy. Tiger and his team just carried it out on ground,” Majeed said, adding: “ISI will never let Tiger Memon surrender, they will kill him, but not let him surrender”.

He also downplayed the incidents of Pakistan flag waving in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that the state will always be part of India.

“One must not pay attention to sporadic incidents of flag waving. It does not reflect the sentiment of the state...Jammu and Kashmir will always be part of India,” he said. — ANI
