Guv, leaders mourn Dikshit’s demise

Srinagar, July 20

Governor Satya Pal Malik and leaders of various political parties have expressed grief over the demise of Sheila Dikshit, former Chief Minister of Delhi. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family.

The Governor described Dikshit as a widely respected public figure whose contribution for the development of Delhi would always be remembered.

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and vice-president Omar Abdullah also expressed grief over the demise of Dikshit. They said her tenure as the Delhi CMwould be remembered for her remarkable work in the field of infrastructure building and sanitation in the capital.

Congress leader Saifuddin Soz said Dikshit had the quality of knowing a wide variety of leaders and workers and was greatly involved in public matters. — TNS
