Functioning of Kakryal hospital reviewed

JAMMU: The 44th meeting of the governing body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, reviewed the functioning of the hospital and, besides, took several decisions to enhance its operational capacities for providing enhanced standards of patient care.

The 44th meeting of the governing body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, reviewed the functioning of the hospital and, besides, took several decisions to enhance its operational capacities for providing enhanced standards of patient care. 

Dr SS Bloeria, member, shrine board, chaired the meeting which was attended by BB Vyas, member, shrine board and chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the hospital, Umang Narula, Principal Secretary to the Governor and Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, vice-chairman, MD and group CEO, Narayana Health and Sunil Kumar CN, regional director, Narayana Health. 

The governing body reviewed the to-date status regarding the setting up of PET CT facility at the tertiary care hospital and noted that the facility would be operationalised very soon. The PET CT facility, not presently available elsewhere in Jammu region, will, inter alia, immensely help in the early detection of cancer. The meeting emphasised that programme evaluation review technique timelines be strictly followed to operationalise the PET CT facility without delay.
