Four dead as car falls into deep gorge in Ramban

JAMMU: Four persons were on Wednesday killed when a car skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge in Ramban area on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, the police said.

Four persons were on Wednesday killed when a car skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge in Ramban area on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, the police said.

A car travelling from Ramban to Srinagar fell into a 400-foot-deep gorge while negotiating a curve at Kela Morh, about 150 km from here, around 1435 hours, resulting in the death of four persons, the police said.

Bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the scene by the rescuers who are still searching the area.

The identity of the deceased was being ascertained, they said. With PTI inputs
