Deputy Chief Minister celebrates Holi with BJP leaders, workers

JAMMU: The state unit of the BJP, having reason to celebrate this Holi in a colourful and exuberant way on account of having made history by coming in power in the state for the first time, held Holi celebration function at its head office without the inclement weather dampening its spirit.

The state unit of the BJP, having reason to celebrate this Holi in a colourful and exuberant way on account of having made history by coming in power in the state for the first time, held Holi celebration function at its head office without the inclement weather dampening its spirit.

Senior party leader and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, along with Minister of State Priya Sethi, state general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul and a large number of party leaders and activists danced to the beats of drum amid sprinkling colours of the festival, exchanging greetings and distributing sweets at the party head office.

Nirmal Singh, while extending Holi greetings to the people of the state on the occasion, said this Holi had been the harbinger of unprecedented good tidings not only for the party and its activists, but also for the entire population of the state comprising of different faiths and regions.

He said, “Our government will be people friendly and work for the betterment of all segments of the population of all the regions of the state.”

Priya Sethi also extended greetings of the festival and said Holi had always been a festival of hope and happiness and expressed hope that a new chapter of progress and prosperity would be ushered in the state.

Suresh Jamwal, Bansi Lal Bharti, Mamta Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, Karan Singh, Lalit Moza, Balbir Ram Rattan, Parmodh Kapahi, Naresh Dogra, Raspal Singh, Vikram Randhawa, Sanjay Baru, KB Mahotra, Anju Dogra, Sanjeeta Dogra, Kuldeep Sharma, Bharat Bushan, Surinder Mahajan, Dilip Gupta, Sanjay Nagpal and other leaders celebrated Holi at the party office.
