CPM condemns arrest of its leaders

JAMMU: The CPM has condemned the recent detention of party national general secretary Sitaram Yechuruy and CPI general secretary D Raja at the Srinagar airport.

The CPM has condemned the recent detention of party national general secretary Sitaram Yechuruy and CPI general secretary D Raja at the Srinagar airport. In a meeting, the regional committee also opposed the decision of the BJP-led Central government to scrap Article 370 and bifurcation of the state into UTs. The party demanded release of senior party leader MY Tarigami. Regional secretary Sham Parshad Kesar, Om Prakash, Kishore Kumar and Sewa Ram Vikil Vaid participated in the meeting. — TNS
