The Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Memorial Trust organised a programme to commemorate the second martyrdom day of Capt Tushar Mahajan at Army Public School here today.

Maj Gen Ashwani Kumar Sharma, chief guest, praised Captain Mahajan for his exemplary and indomitable courage and said he was the epitome of a true Indian soldier who does not mind sacrificing his life in the service of the nation.

Students of Government Middle School, Lehnu, presented a patriotic skit on Captain Mahajan while students of Brahm Rishi Bhawra Shanti Vidyapeeth presented a group song on patriotism.

Ten martyr families were honoured by the trust members. They were presented a memento and shawl. The star attraction of the programme was a spirited speech by Capt Naveen Nagappa. Earlier, a wreath-laying ceremony was performed at Tushar Morh in which Army officers paid rich tributes the martyr.
