Srinagar, January 15

The Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) on Tuesday released a 2019 calendar having names and pictures of persons who have gone missing in nearly three decades of the Kashmir conflict.

Parveena Ahanger, APDP chairperson whose son disappeared in the early 1990s, said the calendar would “keep the memories of missing persons alive”.

The APDP claims that around 8,000 people have disappeared in J&K since the conflict began in the region.
