Anantnag: Militants shot at a man, 35, in the Tral area of Pulwama district around 8.20 pm on Wednesday. The injured has been identified as Lateef Ahmad Ganaie, a resident of Nowpora in Tral. He is an employee of the power development department. “He was on his way back home when militants fired at him. He was shot at right outside his home,” a senior police officer said. The officer said he was rushed to a hospital. A health department official said: “He was shot in the legs and we have shifted him to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital in Srinagar.” The police have registered a case. oc
