Travel show in Dhaka to promote Valley tourism

Srinagar: The  Travel Agents’ Society of Kashmir (TASK) in collaboration with the department of tourism, Kashmir, organised an interactive seminar-cum-road  show at Dhaka in Bangladesh on Sunday to promote tourism. A TASK  statement issued here on Monday said over 200 travel agents, tour operators  of Bangladesh and local electronic and print media participated in  the show. TASK president Mir Anwar said Bangladesh was  emerging as the major upcoming market for the state, especially the Kashmir region.  Anwar said the department of tourism was leaving no stone  unturned to create world-class tourism infrastructure for smooth and  memorable holidays of the travellers. NABARD holds seminar on farm investments

Jammu: A state credit seminar for 2019-20 was organised by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), J&K regional office, at Hotel Radision Blu in Jammu.  Adviser Kewal Kumar Sharma was the chief guest at the seminar and Asgar Hassan Samoon, Principal Secretary, animal and sheep husbandry department, was the guest of honour. The investment credit continues to be the top priority for policymakers and banks in view of its role as the precursor for capital formation in agriculture. There is a need to provide financial assistance to the farmers, speakers said. The credit projection for agriculture and allied sectors for 2019-20 was estimated at Rs 10,943 crore. tns
