Jammu, June 24

The BJP has demanded setting up of a special court for DSP Mohammad Ayub Pandith who was brutally lynched by mob outside Jamia Masjid in Srinagar on Friday.

BJP state president Sat Sharma while conveying condolences to the bereaved family of the slain DSP expressed his shock over his gruesome killing on the auspicious night of Shab-e-Qadr.

Sat said the morale of militants was at ebb and Pakistan-sponsored separatists had always resorted to such inhumane acts to thwart the work of security agencies and restrict the return of peace. He said the J&K Government had to take cognisance of matter in a serious way so that nobody dares to perform such act against the security forces.

Sat has asked the government to provide adequate financial support as well as government job to a member of the family.

The BJP president added that the security cover given to the separatists in the Valley should be immediately removed, adding that those given the security umbrella were instigators of crime against the security forces itself.

He also appealed to the civil society of Kashmir to understand the mindset of the anti-national elements and get united to defeat their nefarious designs.

“When the tourist season is at peak in the Valley and the holy Amarnath yatra is going to start soon, a handful of people are indulging in such acts to convey the outside world that Kashmir is not a place to visit,” Sat said and appealed to the people not to get misled and instead work in unison to identify and expose such elements which were responsible for creating hurdles in peace and causing the loss of lives and property.
