Adviser to Governor K Vijay Kumar on Thursday took stock of the developmental and security scenario in Kargil district.

During his daylong visit, the Adviser inaugurated a dialysis unit at the Kargil District Hospital and enquired about the facilities being provided to the patients.

Kumar held separate meetings with the local representatives of the civil and police administration and met several public delegations, including Imam Khumaini Memorial Trust, Kargil, and the students of Government Degree College, Kargil, to gather first-hand information about the developmental issues of the area.

The Adviser also convened a high-level meeting to review the developmental scenario in the district. J&K Legislative Council chairman Haji Anayat Ali; Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, executive councillors Nasir Munshi and Zakir Hussain; Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo; Deputy Commissioner and LAHDC Chief Executive Officer Vikas Kundal and other senior officials of the police and civil administration attended the meeting. — TNS
