18 BTech students offered placements

RAJOURI: Eighteen BTech final year students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) have been offered jobs by a Chandigarh-based telecom company during a placement drive on Sunday.

Eighteen BTech final year students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) have been offered jobs by a Chandigarh-based telecom company during a placement drive on Sunday. It was organised by the training and placement cell headed by Dr Sameer Raina.

A team of technical and HR officials of CINIF Technologies Limited, Chandigarh, was invited to the campus and a large number ofstudents took part in the selection process, including group discussion, aptitude test, technical interview and HR interview.

The visiting HR team of CINIF Technologies selected 18 students at a package of Rs 3.6 lakh per annum, said Raina.

Impressed by the technical knowledge and communication skill of students, Aman Singh, senior manager, CINIF Technologies, promised to provide employment opportunities to BGSBU students every year.

Prof Javed Musarrat, VC, BGSBU, also interacted with company officials and said, “Hundred per cent placement of students was my aim and for that, directions were already issued to the placement cell.”

Prof Iqbal Parwez, dean, academic affairs, said placement of students was their priority.
