Hamirpur, April 18

Appropriate reply will be given to Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

This was stated by Rajinder Singh Rana, Vice-Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Board, at a press conference here today.

He said the HPCC had served a notice and sought explanation on the bickering that had taken place at the Block Congress Committee (BCC) meeting held at Sujanpur earlier this month.

He said members of the BCC had created turmoil and his supports protested against the action of the BCC members, including the BCC president and other senior leaders.

Notably, the tiff between the supporters of former MLA Anita Verma and Vice-Chairman Rajinder Rana in the presence of Sukhu created a turmoil at the Block Congress meeting held at Sujanpur on April 7.

The supporters of Rajinder Rana raised slogans against Verma as members of the BCC allegedly ignored his presence by not honouring him on the stage.

The BCC honoured all the senior leaders present on the stage, including Verma, Jagdish Sipahiya, Chairman, Kangra Cooperative Bank, ex-MLA Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Sunil Sharma, member, HP Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission, and Naresh Thakur, president, District Congress Committee.
