Two youths held with 4 kg charas

The police have seized more than four kilogram charas from the possession of two youths near Gehra in the Bharmour area and Jassourgarh zero point in the Churah area of Chamba district in the past 24 hours, a police report said here on Monday.

The report said the accused, identified as Amar Jeet (28), and Tajdeen (32), had been nabbed by the police while carrying charas weighing 2.032 kg and 2.042 kg, respectively.

The police said further investigations were on and action would be taken accordingly. Cases were registered against the accused under Section 20 of the NDPS Act at the Bharmour and Tissa police stations.
