Two kids burnt alive in Chamba

CHAMBA: A man lost his two sons in a fire which broke out in his house at Panjun village of Sahoo in Chamba district this afternoon, an official report said.

A man lost his two sons in a fire which broke out in his house at Panjun village of Sahoo in Chamba district this afternoon, an official report said.  

The report revealed that the bodies of children Ishu (5) and Vikas (7) were found charred in the damaged house.  

The owner of the house had gone outside to graze his livestock and the children were playing in the house, the report stated.  

Chamba DC Harikesh Meena, along with SDM Deepti Mandhotra, the police and fire brigade staff, rushed to the site.  

The DC met the father and provided him an immediate relief of Rs 20,000.  

He had ordered an inquiry into the incident, the report said.
