Two from Punjab held with charas

CHAMBA: The police have got leads in the drug peddling case. During interrogation, accused Narender Singh, who was arrested with over 13-kg charas on February 12, spilled the names of his accomplices.

The police have got leads in the drug peddling case. During interrogation, accused Narender Singh, who was arrested with over 13-kg charas on February 12, spilled the names of his accomplices. Following which, the police arrested Surender Rani and Pawan Kumar, both from Punjab. Dr Monika Bhutunguru, SP, said Narender told them that he was to deliver the consignment in Punjab.

An eight-member special team was constituted and sent to Ludhiana, the SP said. After two days, the accused were traced and 150-gm charas was recovered from their possession. — OC
