Solan, January 22

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Kuldeep Rathore on Tuesday said the RSS was dominating and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was unable to take any independent decision in the state.

During his maiden visit to Sirmaur district after taking over as the PCC chief, Rathore said little development was visible in the state despite lapse of one year in power. Despite tall claims of having brought funds worth crores from the Centre, little development was visible on the ground. He said the law and order situation was worsening in the state with heinous crimes like robberies, murders, etc., coming to fore every now and then. The state government had failed to maintain law and order in the state.

Rathore was addressing mediapersons in Nahan after presiding over a meeting of the District Congress Committee where all senior leaders, including MLAs and office-bearers of the District Congress Committee accorded him a warm welcome.

He said the party would work hard to make Sirmaur an impregnable Congress bastion like before. He urged the party functionaries to work in unison and ensure the party’s victory in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. He said he would visit all districts and assess the ground situation before making changes in the organisation and stressed that decisions would not be made by sitting in the party office.
