KANGRA, January 12

The life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda were more relevant today when the nation needed more spiritual strength to combat the adverse forces.

Santosh Patial, SSP, said this while addressing a public function in the Dronacharya PG College of Education at Rait today. The programme was organised by the local branch of the Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Shahpur, in connection with 156th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Visharad Chaitanya Acharya of the Chinmayanand Mission, who presided over the function, said Swami Vivekananda was a major source of inspiration. He said Vivekananda was a saint among scientists and a scientist among saints.

Fifteen toppers from Class IX to XII from different schools of Kangra and Mandi districts too were given prizes who had won in the multiple choice question competition in December 2018.
