The iron dustbin installed on a roadside in upper Chowgan, Nurpur, by the Municipal Council (MC) has become a nuisance. Stray cattle can be seen rummaging through the garbage and littering the entire place. They also obstruct the passage, leaving pedestrians and vehicles annoyed. The MC should either shift the dustbin or modify it so that its cover cannot be opened by animals.  — Parveen Kumar, Nurpur

‘Goons’ running private buses

It seems that goons are running private buses in the state capital. Testifying the fact is the assault on three students of the ITI by a driver and a conductor,  Pawan and Deep Ram, on October 11. Drivers and conductors of private buses mistreat passengers and are only interested in overloading the vehicles. They allegedly bribe the police and the RTO to get a free run. When will the SP and the DC wake up to take these goons to task?  — Ajay Kumar, Shimla

Debris on Totu road leads to chaos

Debris on the Chakkar-Power House (Totu) road often leads to traffic congestion during the peak hours. The road is wide, but the debris, which has been piling up for quite some time, leads to chaos. The authorities have been approached many times, but nothing happened.  —Ashutosh, Shimla
