KULLU: Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam enthralled the audience during the sixth cultural evening of Kullu Dasehra at the Kala Kendra here yesterday.

Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam enthralled the audience during the sixth cultural evening of Kullu Dasehra at the Kala Kendra here yesterday. Various foreign and domestic tourists, besides a large number of locals gathered to witness the star singer’s performance. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was the chief guest.

The programme commenced with natti. Artistes from Malaysia and Sri Lanka entertained the audience, while those from Gujarat gave a glimpse of their folk culture.

Artistes from various parts of the state also delighted the audience. A cultural troupe from Mandi presented a dance, which was liked by one and all. Folk artiste Narender Thakur doled out his local numbers.

Earlier, the Chief Minister paid a visit to the camp temple of Lord Raghunath. Forest and Transport Minister Govind Singh Thakur, who is also the chairman of the Kullu Dasehra Festival Committee, welcomed the chief guest by presenting him a traditional Kullu cap, a shawl and Dasehra souvenir.

The last cultural evening today will witness performances by Himachali singers. International cultural troupes and groups from different states will also perform. Local artistes will also entertain the audience.
