Rs 23.73 cr under social security plan for Chamba

Independence Day was celebrated with gaiety at the historic Chowgan of Chamba town. Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Hans Raj hoisted the national flag and inspected the guard of honour. 

The Deputy Speaker said a provision of Rs 23.73 crore had been made for Chamba district under the social security pension scheme during the current fiscal year.  

To ensure an all-round development in the rural areas of the district, the government had identified 19 villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana and a budget of Rs 20 lakh would be allocated for the development of each village.

For strengthening the infrastructure and constructing buildings in 1,068 schools of the district, a sum of Rs 12.58 crore was being spent under the Kayakalp Pragati Mission.  

Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, 55,435 cards and under the Himcare Yojana, 13,206 cards had been issued to the beneficiaries.
