Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Wednesday said the decision of the NDA government to provide 10 per cent reservation in jobs on the basis of economic status of an individual would foster social harmony and strengthen the social fabric of the country. Addressing mediapersons here he said poverty could inflict a person belonging to any caste category or supporting any political party.

The former Chief Minister said the state Congress leaders had been demanding the report cards of the performance of the BJP MPs, which proved that the Opposition had no real issue against the NDA government for taking the BJP to task among the people.

He said the BJP MPs had performed and delivered the desired results and the people of the state were well aware of that, adding that the Congress too would come to know about the performance of the BJP MPs when the results of the Lok Sabha elections would be announced next.
