Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Thursday laid foundation for the Central University Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) at Dehra, near here.

Despite heavy rain, a large number of BJP workers attended the function.

Ahead of the parliamentary polls, the CUHP is being viewed as a major political achievement, said Hamirpur's BJP MP Anurag Thakur.
