Parwanoo EO gets addl charge of Solan

Acceding to the demand of councillors of the Solan Municipal Committee for filling the vacant post of Executive Officer (EO), Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Friday directed the EO, Parwanoo, to hold the additional charge of Solan.

As per directions issued by the CM, EO, Parwanoo, Sudhir Sharma will visit Solan for three days in a week. This will help clearing the day-to-day work which was piling up ever since the post fell vacant following the transfer of the officer about three months ago.

The charge of the EO had been held on a temporary basis first by the tehsildar and later the RTO for three months, adversely affecting the working of the committee. With no official available to sign pending bills of the contractors, developmental works are suffering.

The contractors had also locked the officiating EO in his office two days ago and sat on a dharna in protest against the non-payment of their bills for months together. — TNS
